‘Little Owls is the best possible early years setting we could have imagined for our daughter. Our daughter started at the Little Owls when she was seven months old and settled in easily and happily. I was nervous about leaving my daughter when she was so young, but Ashley put us at ease and I quickly realised that finding the Little Owls was the best thing I could have possibly done. We love seeing the daily updates and photos and also that they spend so much time exploring outdoors, whether in the woods, at the beach or around the many local parks and gardens. Our daughter is thriving at the Little Owls and under Ashley’s care. She has made lots of new friends, grown in confidence and her development has accelerated from being around the other children and participating in all the activities Ashley provides. We are constantly amazed by the new things our daughter is doing and she looks forward to going to the Little Owls every week, forever talking about Ashley and the owls when she’s at home. We are so thrilled to have found the Little Owls which is giving our daughter the very best start in life!’

‘My youngest daughter has attended Little Owls since she was 7 months old. May is my third child and I can honestly say she has been the happiest and healthiest of my three children and that is due to the Outstanding care from Little Owls. Ashley and her team are very experienced in many areas of the eyfs and are constantly updating their skills to keep up with the changing pace of early years education. They have gone above and beyond with amazing weaning guidance back when May was a challenge with her sweet tooth. They lead wonderful mindfulness sessions which May confidently demonstrates at home. Ashley has shown perseverance, determination and adaptability this past year during the Pandemic, and I feel as a parent Little Owls has grown and improved for the better due to Ashley’s hard work. She puts the health and safety of the children first and communication with parents is excellent.I feel very confident that my child is in a safe setting, which enables her to make excellent progress under the eyfs key areas. Ashley has put in place some excellent tools and strategies to help May’s verbal communication. She is beginning to build her letter sounds and communicate with more ease due to Little Owls efforts.
May is challenged through fantastic physical tasks, such as an indoor climbing frame, yoga and wonderful long woodland walks almost daily. May frequently comes home with an abundance of crafts she has made which always link to an annual festival or event, which is lovely for my older two children to see. I am delighted with the care provided by Little Owls, and May adores her time spent at Little Owls. Monday’s never seem to come soon enough for her. During the first Lockdown period in 2020 Ashley sent a life size photo version of herself to all her Little Owls. ‘ Photo Ashley’ remained stuck up on our wall for the whole lockdown. I am relieved we now get the real deal and not a paper version. She’s much better’!

‘After having to return to work earlier than I’d hoped, I was so nervous about leaving my daughter while she was still so young, but the moment I met Ashley I instantly felt confident that my daughter would be in the best hands. Since being a Little Owl she has developed so well from being around the other children and she clearly absolutely loves her time with Ashley and her team. We love receiving the daily photos and updates of what she’s been doing and she clearly feels very at home in Ashley’s home. I never would have expected my 10mth old daughter to be bringing home arts & crafts every few weeks! During such a difficult time throughout the pandemic, I am so pleased that Annabelle has Little Owls to go to. We are so pleased that we found Little Owls, it is the best thing we could have done for our daughter.’

‘Little Owls is a little slice of heaven for curious little ones in the Surrey countryside. Little William joined in July 2020 as one of the first children back from the first lockdown. Ashley and her team were so incredibly diligent in making sure the children could still have fun indoors and outdoors despite any of the restrictions placed against them. William’s development has come on leaps and bounds and his need for routine is wonderfully sustained and enhanced under Ashley’s care. Williams walking, speech, motor skills and craft work are wonderfully progressing thanks to Ashley and the team. Little owls goes above and beyond to ensure that every little one has the love, care and attention that is needed from an EYFS setting in addition to providing wonderfully curious learning in a happy, fun, safe and clean environment. As a parent, I had gone through some difficult times in early 2020 and there are very few people that I would feel comfortable enough leaving William with. Ashley has also instilled confidence in me as well as William to trust others and know that he is very safe and loved at Little Owls.’ Mother of William (2019) ‘Ashley and her team provide outstanding care for my son. He’s only been with the Little Owls for a short time but there has been an absolute transformation in him. From learning makaton, eating a variety of healthy and nutritious food to sleeping contently without sleeping aids, the list is endless. This isn’t just a job for Ashley, she truly cares about her Owls and takes a deep interest in their well being. I always look forward to receiving pictures of what’s he’s been doing and reading his diary. My only regret is that I didn’t send him sooner. He loves his time there and I feel so fortunate to have found Ashley. Thank you for taking such amazing care of my little boy’! Mother of Luca (2017) ‘Where to start with Little Owls. Our daughter has been with Ashley since she was 9 months old and has now just turned 3. Our daughter adores it there, it’s her second home. She still gets excited to get dressed in the morning to go to “Ashley’s House” (her words). She has grown up with Ashley and the team, it was the best decision we could have made for her to be at Little Owls. She loves the daily walks, crafting, Yoga, baking, story time and most of all, the playing. Little Owls have an amazing array of toys from educational to baby dolls (our daughter’s favourite to play with – baby dolls) More recently Ashley has been setting up a tuff tray which will have new things set up on it weekly, all to do with what they are learning about that week/month. Our daughter always asks I wonder what Ashley will have set up today. I could not recommend Little Owls enough, if only my daughter could write she would tell you from her point-of-view how amazing it is’ Mother of Maisie (2018) ‘Penny absolutely loves coming to Little Owls and we are so happy with how she has settled in. The activities they take part in are so varied and fun and I love that they go out and about so often for lovely walks and trips to the beach. I have had a couple of negative experiences with childcare in the past so I started my search for the perfect setting for Penny before she was even born! I viewed a couple of nurseries before visiting Little Owls. The home setting was just so much more appealing and the level of organisation and care Ashley goes to is fantastic. The home cooked meals sound delicious and the hygiene levels are top notch. The room the children nap in is a proper bedroom which is so much nicer than the pokey cupboards I saw in the nursery! Mother of Penny (2017) ‘Ashley always creates a warm, inviting atmosphere for our two children, from the moment they are dropped off to the moment they are picked up. The variety, stability but most of all fun that they enjoy in Ashley’s care, as well as Ashley’s professionalism means that we can relax while at work in the knowledge that they are in excellent hands. The feedback that Ashley gives us on what the children have done each day is invaluable for being able to connect with them about their day when they come home. Her setting is warm and welcoming and her toys and resources are plentiful. Even though she has a variety of ages that attend her setting, she ensures that every child takes part in age appropriate activities. Daisy adores Ashley and talks about her, her family and the other children with huge enthusiasm. Ashley is incredible at what she does, she has the emotional empathy as a mother but the professionalism and knowledge of childcare as a childminder that give me the absolute confidence that she is the ideal person to look after my daughter.’ Mother of Daisy (2010) ‘As a mum having to return back to work after maternity leave, the decision of what is best for your baby is a really daunting experience, and you absolutely want the best for your baby’s welfare. As soon as we arrived at Little Owls to take a look around, I immediately felt much more relaxed. It felt like ‘home from home’, a clean safe environment, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision to place Lola in Ashley’s care. The activities that Ashley does with the children at either Little Owls HQ, or ‘out and about’, seem both varied and fun, and Lola is always happy and very animated when I drop her off in the mornings, clearly looking forward to her day ahead. Before now she has cried when I have arrived to collect her, as she doesn’t want to leave!! I think that speaks volumes. As parents, one of our favourite things is the feedback that we get from Ashley on a daily basis about what’s been happening that day. It is very thorough and we always know exactly what Lola has been up to (eating, sleeping, nappies, activities, her mood, and a general comment), often coupled with photo’s of her thoroughly enjoying her day. I can not stress enough how happy we are with Lola’s care, and we feel very lucky to have found Ashley and Little Owls.‘ Mother of Lola (2013) ‘My son Owen has only been going to Little Owls since Christmas 2014, he wasn’t even one when he started so you can imagine it was quite a big thing for us all!! I can honestly say that I have never regretted sending him to Little Owls for one moment! He loved it from the first time he went there for a couple of settling in sessions, he literally didn’t look back! It makes things so easy for me knowing he is happy and safe when I have to leave him at Little Owls to go to work. He has a big smile on his face when we get out of the car in the morning and clearly loves the company of the other children and all the activities. Ashley seems to have a similar outlook to us in that there is a lot of creative play going on and lots of fresh air and exercise which is great! We are all extremely happy with Little Owls! From the first settling in visit with Ashley, Rafi has been totally happy in her care. Ashley was incredibly thorough with her policies, my contract and Rafi’s Learning Journey from day 1 and has been consistent with Rafi’s daily diaries ever since. She provides a safe, friendly and engaging environment where Rafi has had the opportunity to visit farms, help with cooking, enjoy messy play, have lovely walks, share in music and movement and make some new friends. I have been really impressed with the personalised approach Ashley takes with all the children in her care, from providing them with their own bags, flannels and bed sheets to acquiring appropriate toys for their individual development. It is also great to know that Rafi is getting plenty of fresh fruit and nutritious home-cooked food while with her.
